Hello all, I’ve replaced multiple iPhone 3 and 4 screens myself and have recently found that iPhone 4 ones sometimes present the mentioned problem. If you have found that the link has NOT fallen off when compared to another iPhone, then you may want to try this.

Don’t shun this method straight away. Most of you will look at it and think it’s just a normal reset but I found it works where even a full hard reset has not.

Make sure the iPhone is connected to a Mains Supply Charger. This is important.
Turn off the iPhone.
Once it is switched off, keep hold of the Home Button.
After 10 seconds of holding, power it up using the Standby button (no need to hold the standby button BUT KEEP HOLDING the Home Button).
Keep holding the Home Button until the iPhone has shown the Homescreen and only once it asks you to ‘Slide to Unlock’ will you let go.

This has worked for me on 5 occasions now so it is definitely worth a go. It’s mainly for the people with the experience in this to know that they have done everything with great caution and have not snapped/forced/torn etc any components or their counterparts.

If the item is individually stickered, yes, I believe that you still qualify. Now, this is mostly just an assumption, as I’m no lawyer or lawmaker, but definitely worth bringing up to the store/management.

Went thru the same coffee maker search a few years back. Bought the electric Faberware percolater. It makes great coffee and keeps it hot without burning. I find it easy to maintain, as well.

Thank-you. I was just told by a retailer that the bounty law was no longer in effect even though the item had a price tag on it as well as the lower price marked on the shelf. I’m pretty sure it’s not because of that. I don’t get any of those default shortcuts that you all have on your desktop, so the arrangement shouldn’t be caused by group policy.

Also, it’s only that one shortcut, none of the others. You’d think the rest of them would attempt to re-arrange as well.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but that shortcut is handled by the servers at work. And if so, is it possible that it’s being updated somehow, causing it to rearrange itself?

I know there was one day I came in to work to find my computer hadn’t shut down like I wanted it to, but instead had me logged in with updates installed, and everything was in the default arrangement. Perhaps this is a similar situation.

In the appearance options, you need to enter “glutastic” without quotes where is says tumblr user name.

I’m looking into a way to automatically grab this information, but haven’t found anything yet.

it’s not supposed to be Century Gothic. If you’d like to change it, however, you can override the CSS yourself and specify whatever font you’d like.

Also, as a note, there is currently a bug that prevents the theme’s default font from showing in certain browsers. I know the fix, just need time to work on it.

Honestly, I had never worked with Disqus before implementing it here. I will definitely look at adding that as a feature. I plan on doing an overhaul of the theme sometime over the summer. Stay tuned!

If I had thought about it for a second longer this weekend, I would have also recommended that for the bookmarklet, you check to see if jQuery exists first. At it’s simplest, you should be able to do if(!jQuery)… but there may be a better way to check if jQuery has already been loaded on the page. That way, if I didn’t check ahead of time, I’m not double loading jQuery.

You may want to try checking your results while in Private Browsing.

Because your location is currently set to Ludington, your results may be skewed to that geographic area.

No Gas day isn’t hurting the oil companies, it hurts the gas stations. I’m no expert, but from what I understand the gas stations have already purchased the gas. So all we end up doing by boycotting gas today is hurting local gas stations that are privately owned. The oil companies still get their money because the need for the gasoline is still there and unless you go out of your way to not drive your car today or be more conscientious about your carbon footprint today by riding public transportation or carpooling as an alternative to your normal driving habits, the consumption of the fuel just gets pushed off until tomorrow. In fact, boycotting could actually increase the demand on oil for tomorrow and we all know how supply and demand works.

So while No Gas day is a stupid idea in it’s simplest form of “don’t buy gas today”, if it was transformed into promoting the idea of putting in extra effort today to car pooling or not driving if you can avoid it or taking public transportation, that would make more sense. That would put the emphasis on alternatives to oil.

While I think most people have heard of other forms of transportation, be it their own or public, I do think that longer periods of time, especially with large masses of people, would make more of an impact than just a day.

Although, I don’t even know if a week would be enough. Maybe a month? A month of missing profit from thousands of people would definitely be noticeable.

I don’t think it’s necessarily as dumb as you may think it to be and simply because it makes people aware of the situation similar to the Earth Hour day. Who knows? Some people may have never considered alternate forms of transportation and there’s a probability a particular percentage of those that participate in this movement will consider making a lifestyle change. To be fair, I think a better challenge would be at least a week without gas as that could certainly test individuals’ ability to forgo a week without the car. If it can be done for a week, there’s a good chance it can do done the rest of the year, barring horrid weather.

Hi! I found your theme on Tumblr and fell in love! I currently use it and have no plans on changing it any time soon! I just have one quick question though about a viewing option that I’m not sure how to change myself. Very rarely do I post an upload that gets fed to my Facebook feed, but when I choose to actually do that, the link on FB obviously is just for that particular post.

With this current theme, I noticed when viewing just one single post at a time, you can not click, previous or next to browse through the single posts individually. I used to have a “home” link which might have been fine as well, but people like my grandma really have no clue to click on “Fly With The Stars”.

I have given her my blog website personally and she still can’t figure out how to get there. Is there any way I can sift through your coding to add a “previous” & “next” button for easier access to individual posts?

This is one of those things where “when it works, it’s amazing, when it breaks, it’s the worst thing ever.”

I have auto-pay for all but one of my bills (a Citi student loan; for w/e reason I can’t set it up). Most of the time, it’s great. I check my bank accounts daily, so I know when a payment comes out, and how much it is. For my utility bills, I normally get an email (which is how I found out about this particular bill), alerting me that a payment will be processed.

I can understand your parents’ resistance, though; but all-and-all, I still recommend auto-pay. No late bills, no checks/forms to write, and over-all convenience. For the occasional slip-up, it’s not too bad.

Yeah, I have tried to convince my parents to enroll in online bill pay and automatic payments — all that jazz. They refuse of course, this is why. I do remember one time when we got charged an extra $80 one month because they “forgot” to apply it to the previous bill.
